Takealot damaged delivery unattended.

This is not my usual experience with Takealot so believe me when I say, I am only desperate enough to write this because of the timing in this instance.

I ordered an item for an occasion. It arrived perfectly on time (the day before) but the packaging is disgusting. It is not in the usual Takealot box. It is so dirty and dusty I don't even want to take it inside. The tape to seal the box is old and dirty and torn/cut and doesn't stick anymore so it has a second layer of tape which suggests that this item is not new, but has been previously opened and resealed in a very dirty place.

I now need immediate assistance to have a replacement sent for the occasion it was meant for but the helpline didn't answer 3 times. It just played music until the music eventually finished and it went silent with no response. I have sent 2 emails and 2 return requests but have only received automated responses.

This is so very disappointing as the occasion will be ruined and I have always been so happy with Takealot and supportive of their service. In fact, I purchased the item, only to find out that I could get it cheaper somewhere else, but I didn't cancel my order because I trusted Takealot so much.

I am desperate for a response from them to please sort this out for me in the next 24 hours. Please help.
