Takealot complaint

I bought an oven extractor fan in May 2023 of which the fan switch has physically broken. It sides across the settings without changing the fan speed and neither can it be switched off. I returned the item to Takealot as per their returns process, but they rejected the return citing damage to the extractor. It has a small dent in the bottom cover of the extractor. This obviously cannot be responsible for the fan switch not working. Takealot has referred my request to management with a promise to phone me back in 24 hours. This has not happened and neither have they returned the extractor. Phoning the call center is fruitless.
