Takealot

I bought a pump from Takealot, a 2.2 kw borehole pump. It worked for 2-3 months. It tripped my power and the plug burnt. I sent it back to Takealot after making numerous long calls, costing me up to R600. They sent me an e mail and said the pump was broken, but it was not the case. The motor burnt out. They then said they fixed and sent a different pump back to me, not the same pump I sent to them. It is clear that this pump is old and rusted. Since then I sent a mail upon which Takealot indicated that I needed to respond whether I want a refund and for them to fetch the pump. After a month I did not hear from Takealot. I cannot use the pump they sent me. I now have the situation that I paid for a pump I cannot use and Takealot does not come to fetch it, neither refunded me. I lost R5000 plus all the installation cost and effort with additional phone costs. I will not recommend Takealot to anyone after this experience. Short of spending another R600 on calls I am at a loss as to what to do more from my side to resolve this untenable issue.
