Takealot breaching 30-day "Hassle-Free" policy and CPA - Order #***

I am writing this review to warn other consumers that Takealot’s "30-Day Hassle-Free" return policy is not being honored. I purchased a Canon MF3010 printer (delivered Jan 7th) which is unsuitable for my operating system (Ubuntu).

Despite being within the 30-day suitability window, Takealot is refusing the return. Their staff incorrectly claims this is a "Manufacturer Warranty" issue. This is a clear suitability return, not a hardware defect. Canon cannot "fix" a 15-year-old driver via a warranty claim; this is a retail responsibility.

I have had five email interactions with Takealot and they have repeatedly refused to log the return, citing a "system glitch" that has locked the item as non-returnable. This is a direct breach of Section 20 of the Consumer Protection Act. I intended to buy a Brother printer as a replacement, but I am now forced to reconsider my loyalty to this platform.

Takealot: Please manually override your system error and authorize the collection immediately.
