Takealot being selective when it comes to product reviews

I bought a Mellerware bread maker in December 2021 and 4-5 months later, it is not working properly. Takealot has rejected my review - is this to make sure customers don't see negative reviews about the faulty products they are selling? What is the point of allowing reviews of they are going to be selective about what gets published... Not very trustworthy.
