Takealot became a fixed deposit accounvit seems. MY MONEY, please.
Not that you would care, I'd imagine, but I'm giving you two stars because at least in the past couple of months your service was reasonable.
I saw right now that on Trust index you rate 2.3 or something out of 10. That should tell you something.
Three reviews, that I had written to warn people of a specific range of luxury products that I bought for skin care from your website were declined and removed, and I was told that the reviews couldn't be published because you are investigating the authenticity of the products. Uhm then at least shut that vendor down until you've seen for yourself that on one product 24 people said the same. But their reviews were published. Pity I didn't read them before you too***ot of my money.
I know they were ineffective and **** because I've been using them long before they appeared on Takealot.
I have taken a picture of the trampled and dirty moisturizer box... It had a Chinese sticker outside and wait for it, not an under filled, but rather a totally empty, unsealed bottle of a luxury product. It's ludicrous. To make me pay for it is even just as bad. But to make customers that you have already disappointed, wait and wait for money they actually need - talking here about the R5500 order that simply wouldn't change status to at least "preparing to ship" - to deny me my money back on THAT, money I could use to go to another shop and buy my office necessities - that to me feels a bit cruel, and unfair and even slightly against the law. But sure you all have a little clause in the fine print in which you conveniently exculpate yourselves of any wrongdoing. This nonsense is after I was hung up on four times trying to speak to something other than a FAQ.
After I got through to a guy at Takealot customer care he ignored my correction that I am Mr or Bru or just Jacobus. Not M'am.
I told him that (Even though I am under absolutely no illusion that it's going to bring any kind of resolve to this case), my next option would be Hello Peter. He was okay with that. Not bothered in the least.
I felt that this is my right as a customer to have my money back for things that I have not received and that I am no closer to receiving. I was told this outlandish idea of a customer rather taking their money and purchase elsewhere, where the product AS WELL AS INCREDIBLE AFTERCARE EXISTS, would unfortunately not be allowed and that I cannot have my money back. I think this is absolutely ridiculous.
He told me that I have to wait until they are ready to ship the order, then for the order to actually ship to my remote location, then to return the order. And then wait another couple of days for them to decide whether or not they're going to give my money back. I think this is absolutely ridiculous.
This policy is brutal, highly selfish and unfeeling and is another factor driving me and I'm sure many others not to buy from this place again. Hut what do you care? I own a tiny NPO feeding hungry kids. You are clearly in charge of the way retail works. I am glad that Amazon apparently plans to put up shop properly in this country. Perhaps then Takealot can takealittle time to find ways to give more and takealittleless.
