Takealot - Be aware

I bought a fan which I returned within 2 weeks due to the fact that it was too strong and noisy for the bedroom. Takealot refused the return based on the fact that the product was "used". It was set up and tested and immediately put back into the packaging again as this was not "usable" or desired for more than 5 minutes of testing. They disregarded all my consumer rights in every aspect. My question to them was " how am I suppose to test electrical products if I dont set it up" I am still waiting for an answer and never received feedback. Its not like i wanted to return a cooking product that I have used. I will not buy electrical appliances online from them ever again. Be aware.
