Takealot are an absolute disgrace with the way they handle their sellers

Takealot are great for customers, but absolutely pathetic with support for their sellers (without whom they would be nothing!).

Customers can return items for the most ridiculous reasons without the seller being able to do anything about it. I am very happy to have a product returned if there was a real reason, but alot of the time the customers send back an incorrect item, a severely damaged item, or in more than a dozen cases for us over the last year - ONLY THE PACKAGING IS RETURNED - i.e. the customer kept the product, logged a return request, sent the packaging back ONLY, and they receive a full refund because Takealot staff are too lazy to check the contents. Worst of all, this return just gets deducted from your account and there is no support / anyone to contact to create a dispute!

The way Takealot treats their sellers is a disgrace and should be investigated. They could easily create a help portal for sellers but they won’t because they know exactly what they’re doing.

This leaves a huge opportunity for ***** for dishonest people around the country. This problem will only get worse.
