Takealot and/or their suppliers are intentionally misleading consumers

I recently purchased an item from Takealot, the photo of the item CLEARLY indicated that the batteries and charger was included. Now Takealot are saying, that 1) the image is only for illustrative purposes, 2) the supplier confirmed that the item excludes the batteries and charger and 3) that according to the manufacturer the item excludes the batteries and charger (this all after addressing this directly with them)

I am not disagreeing to any of the above, but why mislead consumers upfront with an image that does not reflect what is included? and why not include ANY additional information of what is included in the packaging, there was not a bit of additional information provided.
