Take a lot employment - beware!

My partner was retrenched with COVID and app**** to Take A Lot who then invited him to the depot to meet the manager there. He had to pay for a Police Clearance Check however after that has heard nothing. He took the forms they wanted and has called but nothing. He doesn't even have a copy of the Police Clearance he paid for. Since then, we have found out that it is not right for you to pay for any recruitment process and believe this may be a ****. He has called Take A Lot about it but got nowhere. It is impossible to get through to their customer care. Watch out!
