STAY AWAY IF IN A HURRY

First time buyer, I ordered an items from these guys on the 26th of November, items which clearly stated they were in stock in their JHB warehouse. Latest delivery date available was the 28th of November so I picked that. My order was never delivered on the said date, maintained its status "Not yet shipped". I called and emailed them on multiple occasions with each consultant giving their own narrative as to why the order wasn't shipped. Up until one consultant told me the order was delayed because they didn't have the items in stock. I found that very amusing as prior to my purchase I contacted the supplier who was selling the items and assured me they make 2 deliveries every day to takealot and they had 12 of those items sitting in their warehouse at the time of communication. I even took a screenshot of the product page which also showed they had stock in JHB. Anyway my order was rescheduled to the 3rd of December. I had traveled into South Africa to pick up that order and the delay meant more accommodation costs and change of ticket fees as well. What was disappointing is they never took responsibility of this issue but insisted they couldn't do a thing. I will NEVER buy from takealot.com again and WOULDN'T recommend it to someone who wants their things urgently.
