SOLD OUT but stock available the very next day
On 7 July the online had a National Geographic 20-60x60mm Spotting Scope on special for R799. Nowhere in the ad was there a mention of limited stocks. At about 14:00 on the 7th I wanted to order one but was then shown as SOLD OUT. The very next day there was stock available but now the price is R1599. I phoned them to complain and was told that they will speak to the supplier and revert back to me. I have not heard from Takealot since then. According to my understanding this false advertising is in contravention of the Consumer Protection Act
