Site hangs and I have to kill the tab instance
I really enjoy Takealot, and a fair bit of my money is spent on this site, but the past two days or so, the site hangs (and I am forced to kill the browser tab process). This happens like clock work, irrespective what I search for. The problem starts to show itself, when you have 'plenty' of results, and you load more and more results (Show More).
Occurs after I continue to load more results the second or third time (clicking on Show More two or three times). The screen will grey out, as if the result(s) will load in due time, but if you scroll up to the top while waiting, all content disappear.
I have not checked the content of the DOM at that point though.
In a nutshell: The UI thread becomes unresponsive. Please offload 'expensive' operations to other threads.
I did try to profile the occurrence, but both the Performance Analyzer and Lighthouse quit, due to tab instance crashing >> Aw, Snap!
I am not too concerned about the memory usage, but when things begin to go south, the CPU % for the tab/instance in question (on my machine) jumps to 22.2%, and does not move - 22.2% all the way until we arrive at Aw, Snap!
Browser Used: Chrome 94.0.4606.61 (x64)
