Shoddy service

As advertised on the Takealot app, I bought the two volume work of Iain McGilchrist’s “The Matter with Things”. However, upon opening the package only one volume had arrived. I then requested a return and replace but was informed that the item could not be replaced since the original vendor had sold out and now I would need to be credited and buy the item again, but now at a higher price (several hundred rands). I think this is rather shoddy; Takealot should have ideally born the cost and provided the second volume, or offered a voucher for the difference in value between the old price and the new increased price. Now I will have to return the book I have in hand in the hope that I can purchase the set again and Takealot will get it right this time. Rather disappointing
