Shockingly bad service.

My last order of 2023 was 4 days late. Each day, I received numerous SMS's stating that the delivery would be before 5:00pm that day. The, at 2:00pm each day, I was informed that they tried to deliver the order, but couldn't. Wasted 4 days of my life, waiting at home for them. Well, surprise, surprise, the first order of 2024 was promised to be delivered today, and, guess what, it has been delayed. Here we go again. The service delivery of Takealot is worse than shockingly bad. Unfortunately, the number of stars starts at 1 - there should be a category for zero, as well as negative, stars on Hellopeter. The reason for the delay is that Takealot pays it drivers R0.38 (yes, that is 38c) per kilometer for a delivery. That does not even cover the petrol for driving around the block, let alone the 22 km distance that my home is from their nearest depot. The going rate for a small car is around R3.35 - this is nothing short of abuse by Takealot of its drivers. My score for Takealot is minus 5 stars.
