Shocking quality of merchandise by Takealot.com

II bought a kitchen mixer tap six months ago, but it's been problematic since installation due to its terrible quality as a bad Chinese copy. I regretted my purchase as soon as a month after installation due to rust. I demanded a refund but was told I had to return the unit first. Clearly, the person on the other end has no idea how kitchen mixer taps work because you can't take it out and return, then wait for them to assess the unit and report their findings, whenever they're ready! We decided to live with it to see if it would grow on us, but yesterday, the poor quality explosively came to the fore, by flooding my entire kitchen after a pipe burst! Now, I'm told it's too late to return the product by just 10 days. I have a problem with the fact that the quality of the item that Takalot chooses to associate their brand with, is of shocking quality. Secondly, don't tell me I'm 10 days too late to return the item, this just infuriates your customer and cheapens the brand! I've submitted a ticket, so let's see what happens tomorrow.
