Shocking customer service and poor problem solving

Absolutely shocking experience with customer service. After purchasing the Sony xm4 headsets from takealot on Cyber Monday, I had noticed a fault with headphones and requested a replacement unit. I was then told that stock was out so new options were given to me. Despite having a lengthy email chain with customer service and requesting an offered solution the complete opposite action was taken by their service centre

So I know have been refunded my purchase amount on a rare special when I requested the headphones to be repaired. To make matters worse, instead of returning the money to the credit card that was used I have received in-store credit. This experience has left a bitter taste in my mouth and I will be hard pressed to shop at a retailer that cares so little for its clients
