Shady about your Terms and Conditions

I was and still am an avid Takealot fan. Have and still will recommend them to others. But with following advice: Do not buy anything from them that isn't in stock or at least listed as in stock - and be aware that they wont take responsibility.<br> <br> I bought a dog bed, supposed 5-7 day dispatch time. Two weeks after, they cancel the transaction, citing supplier out of stock (of the specific model colour) and increase the price of the beds. Logically one would assume that you are entitled to a different colour bed of the same model for the same price as when you ordered in the first place? Wrong. Upon telephonic inquiry informed that it is totally up to their supplier and not Takealot. <br> <br> Thus the question. With whom did I contract?! Their terms and conditions conveniently state that they and the \third party seller will indicate the acceptance of your order by delivering the Goods to you\". This to me is very ********* as in my mind I was purchasing from Takealot, had no agreement with their supplier at all and the purchase was concluded upon payment. My view of the matter is further amplified by their order confirmation notices etc.<br> <br> I just paid extra to expedite the matter."
