Ryobi wetgrass lie

Bought a Ryobi lawnmower. It has a 24 month warranty Takealot send lawnmower to supplier Will not honour warranty they say it broke because I cut wet grass???!!!! Although I never cut wet grass it is an electric lawnmower and I don't want to die. Still this is the reason. They will fix it but I have to pay Is this the way a warranty works The motor breaks and you make up some reason and you make money again.
