Rusted remote with old batteries and wrong remote.

I purchased a remote control. Today 10/05/2023 i went to collect it at their soweto pickup point. When get home excited to finally watch my TV Box then Boom the remote is wrong upselutly different from what i have ordered, well i thought they work the same but maybe there are no batteries, i opened the remote to check batteries i found the batteries are in but the are old and the rust is al***** there. When i log a return it says i can't log a return because the unit is non returnable. So does that mean i should settle for something that is not working after spending R220. Lol Never i actually need exchange.
