Returns process is a nightmare

They do a great job at initial orders, but their returns process is an absolute nightmare! I have been struggling for 2 weeks to return an item for a replacement - they took forever to collect the item, can’t give me details on where it is in the process and just all around unhelpful. I requested to escalate / speak to a supervisor and there are none available!
