RETURN NIGHTMARE - MRRN-QB5ME-WGMB / MRRN-SV9Y7-97PV

We returned the following item 305 x 76cm Steel Pro Frame Pool - 4.678 L - no pump to takealot on the 9th of November. The reason for returning was that it was too large for the enclosed space of our yard. The pool was never assembled and we logged the return the day after delivery.

The other item was refunded successfully (the pool cover for this pool), this one however was declined with a reference to a defective product - which we didn't give as reason for the return.

After the 10th, we've been on the phone and email to *** almost every day, first an exception was approved - but then they sent the item back to us, we declined to accept the return and it was sent back to the warehouse by the courier.

On friday 24th of November, we finally got feedback but not the feedback we wanted. They simply swapped out the item for the exact same model. We wanted a refund in order to purchase a different (rectangular) pool.

When trying to speak to a team leader or supervisor we were blatantly shot down. To date we don't have a pool. We've spent hours on the phone to them and sent multiple emails without any real assistance. When we spoke to the returns department on Friday, we were told we had to wait until the item was delivered to cancel the order and for them to process the refund. In what world? This whole experience has made it abundantly clear that the left hand doesn't know what the right hand does in this business. Shameful.

This is probably the worst service I have experienced in my lifetime.
