Returns Nightmare

I ordered an Altec Lansing Active Subwoofer that did not work. Perfectly understandable, but a month and a half down the line I'm still waiting for my refund. In the first week after i made the return they said some parts were missing that weren't. One accessory was missing which was a wrench that I then returned as well. Another 3 weeks has passed, and everytime I try to get some feedback or any information whatsoever on the state of my return, my response every time (3 times) has been someone apologizing and saying they will "escalate" the matter. Clearly something has gone wrong on Takealot's side and I'm the one paying the price.
