Returning a laptop for a power supply, really??
So takealot.com has this policy that the entire product must be returned if anything goes wrong... This I completely understand under normal circumstances BUT I have bought a high end HP business laptop from them. The laptop is working perfectly and there is nothing wrong with it... The power supply brick has failed which resulted in me running out to Incredible Connection to replace it as I cannot be without my machine for even a day due to work load. It took me 3 days to have the machine installed with all the software I require on a daily basis. I work for and run an IT firm in Randburg. It seems takealot cannot and will not just replace the power brick and requires me to send back EVERYTHING with no guarantee that I will get the same machine back as the "entire product" will be replaced. In what world does this make any sense?? Everyone there I speak to completely understand my point and why this is ridiculous - yet no one has the power to do anything about it. If you have anything of a critical nature - DO NOT BUY IT FROM takealot.com. They cannot even point me to a repair centre where I can take the power brick myself for swop out under the factory guarantee... I will not buy any business hardware from takealot.com again.
