Returned under warranty but came back more damaged every time

DISGUSTING RETURN SERVICE

I bought a Kenwood Mixer(as a gift for mother) from takealot (+-Nov '22), it worked perfectly for a year. It was sent in under the 2 year warranty because of a mechanical issue. It came back +-10 Dec 2023, but was in a bad state, the issue seemed to be fixed but it was unacceptably damaged in other ways. I notified takealot and logged a return again on 13 Dec 2023 (3 days later). After long delays in there response and excuses about festive season and then constant reminders from me it was finally picked up in March 2024 (3 months later). They quickly sent it back(19/03/2024) with an email stating: "Unfortunately, your return has been declined due to specific criteria not being met in line with our Returns Policy. Should a product be damaged or missing any parts or accessories at the time of delivery / collection, please notify us within 7 days of such delivery / collection by logging a return on the Website." WHAT'S WORSE: The item is now MORE DAMAGED, it looks like it was dropped out of a truck. Why is it damaged when nothing was done to it because my return was rejected?? I am so sick of fighting this, I just want a refund so I can re buy it from a store that actually cares about their customers.

If you sent your new car in under warranty because the engine broke (not your fault) and it came back looking like it was in an accident, would you be happy that the engine was fixed? Even if the engine issue was your fault it is still unacceptable.
