Return service sucks big time

Order number: ***2, Reference: RRN-f72f-57a2. I recently bought a hot brush om Takelot.com, I returned it because it was not working as it should. I was told the item will be sent back to me as per the returns policy. I hardly had the item for one full week, I obviously had to test it on my hair to see if it works? It didn't work, I know this because my sister bought the exact same item and hers works fine. What am I supposed to do with a broken item that I paid for?
