Return refused due to false / **** warranty info on takealot product pages.
I returned a product with a 36-month warranty. It literally says 36 months in big bold writing on the box and on the product page, it says the same. I receive an email from Takealot saying the supplier has declined the return because the product only has a 12-month warranty.
So does Takealot add false warranty info on the products listed or did the supplier add a false product warranty just to get sales? Very fishy stuff going on here. Bottom line, you cannot trust Takealot.

27 Nov 2022, 12:45The Takealot merchant tried their luck. I sent a rebuttal to Takelot and the support team eventually confirmed that my warranty was valid and I received a full refund. Well done to the Takelot team who assisted, I'm very happy with the service received, but more importantly, I feel confident about buying from Takealot in the future, knowing they protect their customers' interests in the face of ***** merchant support.
