Return Eligible at Purchase, Not Eligible When Returning – Takealot

I would like to lodge a complaint against Takealot regarding misleading information about return eligibility on their app.

At the time of purchase, the item was clearly indicated as eligible for return. Based on this information, I proceeded with the purchase. However, when I later attempted to return the item within the applicable return period, the Takealot app stated that the item is not eligible for return.

This change in return eligibility after purchase is unacceptable and misleading. Customers rely on the information provided at checkout when making purchasing decisions, and altering or contradicting those conditions afterward undermines trust and consumer rights.

I have contacted Takealot through their platform but have not received a satisfactory resolution. I am requesting that Takealot honour the return eligibility that was displayed at the time of purchase or provide a clear and valid explanation for the discrepancy.

I am willing to provide order details and screenshots if required.

I hope this complaint will prompt Takealot to address this matter fairly and prevent similar issues for other customers.
