Return Difficult
Bought a Mecer UPS which was supposed to last 3 hours never lasted more than 45 minutes. After 4 months only lasted 6 minutes. Was told I can return and get my money back, told them I no longer have the box only have the UPS. Now after collecting 26 September they want to return product as is as dont have the box and such. In other words I wasted R2500 on a UPS that does not work. Will not support takealot in future.

14 Oct 2022, 15:31I think everyone should check this site before buying from Takealot ... the amount of complaints are astounding. I don't feel alone. Received another email today (same as yesterday) stating need to return box. Sent back the same email I sent yesterday. Suddenly received a call stating have to return with box !!! Now they want to return the product to me??? to do what use as paper weight? door stopper? Why have a return policy if you not going to adhere to it?? translation do not buy from Takealot. Do the call centre agents act stupid and repeat themselves on purpose? if I dont have it what must I do? repeating yourself is not going to make the item appear?? ON return you have to tick boxes .... have original packaging ??? I ticked no?? why waste a persons time and money!!
