Return declined ???????

Absolutely horrible service. I bought a smart watch only to receive the product broken. I took it back to the branch and called in to follow up only to be told my return was declined due to the fact that the packaging was opened. Well obviously how else would i know that it was broken? I am not getting any information back and now I paid money to them and don't have any product, I will never order from takealot again!!!!
