Return declined and I was not notified

I bought a tp-link wifi extender from Takealot, i then logged a return the following day after delivery, they kept quite all along, no updates were given to me, today, after so many days, i sent an email to enquire about what's happening, then i am told my return was declined, nothing was said to me, no reasons as to why, I am only told today that i must deal with the warehouse, is this how you do bussiness, why were you quite all along, your warehouse damages goods and you blaming that on clients, why must i pay for your warehouse's neglegennce?
