Return Declined

One the 15 January 2023, I bought a Russel Hobbs vintage fan and I received it on the 18 January 2023. The reason I bought the fan is because I wanted to use it during training on my indoor trainer.

I tested the fan for this application and I realized that the fan was too small and did not provide sufficient air. I then decided to return the fan, which was collected on the 22 January 2023. I handed the fan with all the packaging except tapping on top because I knew that box might be opened when it get to the person that needs to evaluate Item. I asked the lady that collected the fan from my house if I should tape the box and she said it is not necessary they will do it at the warehouse. I do not understand why my return was rejected, because I did not received the email as per the note on the rejection.

Please note that the box was in the same condition as I received. Why decline the return?
