Reimbur*****t of R11600

Urgent Complaint: Outstanding Reimbur*****t for Vehicle Accident on 25 February 2026

Dear Takealot Customer Service / Management, I am writing to formally raise a serious complaint regarding an accident involving one of your delivery drivers on 25 February 2026. On that day, a Takealot delivery driver, Siyabonga Mazibuko from the Takealot Alberton branch, bumped into my vehicle, causing significant damage to my car.

As a result of the accident, I had to pay an excess of R11,600 through my insurance. I was under the impression that Takealot would deal with the matter and reimburse me accordingly. However, to date, I have not been contacted by anyone from Takealot regarding this incident or the reimbur*****t of the money I had to pay. It is now completely unacceptable that I have had to make the calls and continuously follow up on an incident that was caused by a Takealot driver. I should not have to spend months chasing Takealot for a matter that should have been dealt with and resolved by your company.

This matter has been outstanding since 25 February 2026, and I am extremely frustrated by the lack of communication and accountability. I am therefore requesting that this matter be escalated to the relevant management/claims department immediately and that I receive a clear response regarding the reimbur*****t of my R11,600 excess and the steps being taken to resolve this matter.

Please treat this as an urgent complaint. I expect someone from Takealot to contact me with a proper update and resolution without further delay. If this matter is not resolved urgently, I will have no choice but to escalate my complaint further, including sharing my experience across social media platforms and pursuing other avenues available to me.

I find the manner in which this matter has been handled extremely disappointing and unacceptable. I simply want Takealot to take accountability and resolve the matter. I look forward to your urgent response.

Kind regards, Nokuthaba
