refused return

I bought an item with Takealot which is written "one year warranty". after 7 months the item was no longer working, when I returned it under warranty they wanted proof, and I sent the proof. the next thing they are telling me to contact the supplier, but they refused to give me the suppliers details. My supplier is Takealot, if I have a problem, I contact they should contact their supplier.
