Refuse to consider that the product I purchased was not usable.

II have spent R71,973.00 at Takealot since the 3rd of March. One of the products I purchased was Windows 10 Pro. When I wanted to install the software, I had to copy it onto a flash drive since my new laptop does not have a DVD-Rom. I installed the software and when I tried to activate it, Microsoft informed me that the product key was invalid. I then purchased a valid product key from Microsoft and was able to activate the software. I returned the product that I bought from Takealot for R2,649.00 with proof that I bought a valid product key from Microsoft and Takealot refuses to credit my account for the product that I was unable to activate. Their attitude is that they don’t care in the least whether the software was useable, but because it was opened – they refuse to consider or take into account the fact that I could not activate it with the product key that was on the packaging and was therefore forced to pay another R2,000.00 in order to purchase a valid product key from Microsoft.
