Refusal to replace broken fan sold

My mother bought a fan on Takealot a while back but only opened the box until about 2 weeks ago. When we tried to assemble the fan *****s and other parts of the fan were missing. We were thus unable to assemble the fan. We logged a return and the fan was collected on 13 November 2023. Takealot now refuses to replace the fan and will not provide adequate reasons as to why.

I informed them to keep the fan because what are we going to do with a broken fan. Rather buy from another place and keep away from them.
