Refusal to accept Dell return
I bought a Dell laptop from Takealot. I paid nearly 10 000 and after 3 months, whilst using it, I got an error message and it shut down, with a error message of a component malfunction. I returned it to takealot who refused to accept the return because there was slight damage to the cable. I said the problem was with the laptop, and they must deduct the price of the cable. I askec for a written report as to how the actual laptop was 'damaged'. I was told the product would be returned and I wasreferred to the helpline. The laptop is still under warranty. The cable has slight damage but still works. I feel they are not meeting the conditions as stated in their refund/return policy and using the damaged cable as an excuse not to honor their policy This is not what I expect of takealot. The emails were rude and they did not explain to me what was wrong with the actual laptop, as requested.
