Refusal of return

Ordered metal watch strap, that is only a few months old and the pink coating has simply rubbed off from wearing a watch. Takealot has refused the return under "wear and tear" Please explain how this is normal for the coating to come off from wearing it, and this is “normal wear and tear”? I am also a seller on TA, and we are never afforded the same options to reject a claim, such as they are doing here. Is TA the supplier of this item?, as they don’t allow other suppliers this option to reject a return so easily, The product is poorly constructed and should not be sold. I also find it curious that this product and seller have simply disappeared from the TA store.
