Refund refused but I didn’t even take item out of the packaging !!!

I order a duvet set and returned it, my refund request has been refused but I didn’t even take it out of the bag !!! The driver when he delivered it apologised because he pulled the item too hard when he took it out the car and the handle broke but that wasn’t my fault, also the item was never taken out the bag !!!!! Not happy at all
