Refund declined

Purchased a pair of Asics Gel-sonoma trail shoes. After wearing them once the sole came loose / tore away from the front of the material of the shoe. Takealot refused to give me a refund and stated that it was "wear and tear". This is really unacceptable. I have been a loyal customer and really hoped that they would've handled the situation differently as it was clearly a poor quality product.
