Problems online
Although Takealot are sharp on delivery and have good prices I do have a real problem I believe they should address. We have returned a faulty sealed acid battery ( Ritar 12V 100ah SLA) as I am an electrical engineer and have tested the unit thoroughly. . The battery failed just 18 months after losing a cell. Emails to their supplier RT Systems convinced him that it should be credited and the battery has been returned. The emails commenced on June the 7th and have been flying back and forwards since then. All credit to their supplier RT SYSTEMS in Johannesburg who acted in good faith (Richard van der Heijden CEO) however the Takealot machine is so slow it is truly amazing how fast they can make a delivery. Although the battery has been received back, they are still asking ridiculous questions about whether it blew up or was hit by a bad load shedding incident. For those who don't know, the battery sits behind an AC filter professional system to absorb any surge to an inverter and then on to the battery and so this is impossible in actual reality. They have no one who understands what that problem was and they have been asked by their supplier to pass a full credit to us. TO DATE, I HAVE RECEIVED AND ANSWERED 33 COPIES OF EMAILS SENT TO MY WIFE WHO ORDERED THE BATTERY UNFORTUNATELY AND SHE COUNTS UP TO 47 EMAILS RECEIVED. There is a problem, right? here is the original responder's name and address Luvuyo. N (Takealot.com) <***> at the beginning of June and the load shedding rolls on without our UPS running. CAN SOMEONE DO SOMETHING PLEASE? – ANTHONY NICHOLAS CARTER.
