Price gouging by Takealot sellers

Good evening. A week ago I sent the following message to Takealot:

Good evening. How can this be? Bosch - 125mm/80 Sanding Sheet For Orbit Sanders is selling for R259 on your app. Earlier today, I saw the same item selling for R60 at Hawkes and Findlay in Observatory

This is their response:

Hi There, thank you for contacting http://Takealot.com, Kindly be advised that Takealot is a platform for businesses to sell their products/items on our website. When it comes to a seller, we do not own the stock, we are merely fulfilling the order, which means we facilitate the delivery and the purchasing of the item. This also means that our seller is entitled to set their own prices at their own discretion.

This is not the first time I've come across this sort of thing on their site or app and I do believe they should be doing more to protect their clients against this sort of price gouging. Based on the very dismissive nature of their response, they clearly don't agree and don't really care.
