Potchefstroom pickup point refused entry

I order an item to be sent to Potchefstroom pickup point and received an sms to say it is ready for pickup. I drove to Potchefstroom (I don't live there) and arrived at the pickup point the day before lockdown 16:00. The door was locked with a chain with staff inside who claimed they were already closed and parcels would be delivered to our homes and would not help me. I sent an email to Takealot to confirm/enquire as I was not allowed to pick up my parcel. I was informed that my order would be cancelled and refunded but I used a 1-use voucher to pay which is now no longer valid. So now I have no parcel and no voucher, only a fuel expense to drive to Potchefstroom. If the pickup point was going to be closed, Takealot should have informed customers picking up via sms atleast.
