Poor Takealot service

Red Automatic hair curler order

Issues: We placed an order for this item plus the 3 Barrell hair curler and got order confirmation it was supposed to be a christmas gift then suddenly on the 23rd of December we get a email saying the 3 barrell curler is cancelled. This means that if we wanted to order something again we would have to pay for shipping and it will not have been in time for christmas. The red automatic hair curler we received but the box was gladwrapped which makes it look 2nd hand and the box was damaged and it seems like the item has been handled. The box is not sealed.

We ordered a fascial muscle gun and the situation was the same when the item arrived the item was gladwrapped and not sealed and the box also damaged how can you give someone a gift that looks like that? I dont understand how Takealot delivers a item in a box triple the size of the item but still manages to destroy the items packaging.

We didnt return the items because it was Christmas gifts and the items seem to be working but it is clear that the item has been used prior to us receiving it. Takealot has really taken 10steps back in customer service. I am really thinking about writing a proper review on Hello Peter as it is really a disgrace to pay expensive for items and then get a used item that has destroyed packaging
