Poor service to loyal customer

I have used takealot often, more than 5 years now. Gradually though their service, customer service and pricing has left much to be desired, not to mention their after sales.

I bought a product under manufacturer warranty of a year and it has some issue with it now which I can only attribute to a factory fault. I contacted takealot before the 12 month period for replacement and got a sorry but its only under 6 month warranty.

No explanation was given why their warranty is less than the manufacturer, not to mention I contacted them for more than 3 months to ask for a progress report only to have 4 different people "escalate" the issue, yet at the end of all that they simply said no they won't replace it.

I am very sad and disappointed in this kind of behaviour and customer service after all this time and business I have given them.

From now on I'll make all effort to avoid takealot and go go the competition who have better pricing and stock of said product. Avoid these guys, they don't deserve your cash.
