Poor service - Takealot and their KSTAR Powercom UPS supplier

What a piece of *******, I hope takealot removes this chance taking idiotic fly by night supplier from their vendor list.

Absolute ******* after sales service received from takealot and their stupid supplier

Would definitely not buy this type of product from them ever again as this item did not even last 6 months before failing dismally.

This is the standard type feedback I received from the supplier:

We have received the following feedback from the supplier: "We have not received the unit back but the explanation from the client shows that the unit was used incorrectly. The unit has a 6 – 8 hour charge time for 90% of the battery capacity. Then you need to work out another 2 hours for the last 10% due to how batteries work. In load shedding stage 3 and onward there is not enough time to recharge a completely discharged unit to 100% battery power. This causes damage to the battery pack and is not covered under a warranty claim. The unit is only meant to be run for 10 – 15 min so that the work on the PC can be saved or the backup system be switched on. CID ( customer induced damage ) Is not covered under warranty." What an idiotic reply, that is the purpose of acquiring a UPS.
