Poor service from Takealot

I wish I could give this business zero stars. I placed an order with Takealot on the 11th of Jan and after countless fights about the delivery date changing , they finally decided to spilt my order so some of the items that were in stock could be delivered.

On the day of delivery for the first part of the order, which was yesterday, I called multiple times regarding the order not being delivered yet and trying to find out where the driver was. I spoke to Mila who advised that the driver returned back to the warehouse and this could potentially be due to the fact that he got ****** , ran out of petrol or had to get a replacement vehicle. I later on spoke to someone else who really tried to help me, who informed me that the driver was not delayed in anyway and that my order would arrive before 5 and that he had one order to deliver before mine. Driver never arrived.

After waiting til 5pm, they said that he could be potentially delayed and that he had returned to the area that he was previously delivering at close to Milnerton while I live in Khayelitsha. How could the driver start at Milnerton then delivers items in Philliphi and Mitchells Plein and then goes back to Milnerton side? That makes no sense.

Long story short I later on got told that my order was ****** and that they would try and create a replacement order last night. One of the items I order for 1k is now out of stock so my order isn’t even fulfilled.

I called up today to cancel it and get told that this is not possible and I have to wait until I receive a delivery confirmation sms. I spoke to multiple people about wanting my order cancelled this morning. Adeeb A. is the most recent one I spoke to who just dropped the line on me when I mentioned that the terms on conditions stated that I could have my order cancelled any time before receiving a delivery notice.

Takealot needs to fix this ASAP. Your customer service is very bad and your agents even advised that the terms and conditions don’t matter with regards to order cancellations. What kind of business is this that does not adhere to their own Terms and Conditions?!!!

I have another order due to be delivered today, let’s see if it even arrives.
