Poor Service

<p>I ordered an item on 3 Dec 2016 on the website and paid immediately. The advert showed that there was stock of the item and that delivery would be 23 Dec. On 21 Dec I received an email saying that they have cancelled my order as they do not have stock! There was no consultation with me as the client. Now they want to know whether they must credit my account or refund me...They gladly took my money initially and have been earning interest on it in their bank account but want to only refund the initial amount.</p> <p> </p> <p>The joke is that the item is currently still easily available from other online places so there is stock in the marketplace. If they valued the customer and their reputation, they would do whatever is required to fulfill their side of the transaction - by sourcing it from another online store if necessary - to fulfill their duties towards their customers.</p> <p> </p> <p>Otherwise it seems that they advertise items they know they won't have stock of while taking money from clients - and then earning interest on money that isn't theirs - while refunding unsuspecting clients later. Takealot walks off with extra money earned at the expense of others! To me that's such a ****!</p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
