Poor service

I ordered rugby boots for my son that was delivered as scheduled on Thursday last week. However, they did not fit so I logged an exchange. I was quite happy then to exchange the boots for a larger size, but since I have received such poor service, I just want a refund and I will purchase elsewhere. They were supposed to collect the boots on Friday to exchange for a larger size. The boots were eventually collected yesterday (Tuesday 03.07) only after I called to complain. I was advised to order and pay for another pair while my return was being processed. I told the lady that I spoke to that I would now prefer to be credited as I am not prepared to wait for such a long time for a pair of boots nor pay for another pair! She said she would email me regarding my credit. I have still not received an email confirmation of the collection nor the credit. I called the call centre again today. They could not confirm initially that the boots had been collected as Skynet had not updated the system. Then he said that I would only get confirmation of my credit once the boots are received in Johannesburg and evaluated. This could be a further two days and only then will I get a message of confirmation. Not credit, just confirmation. Credit would be passed only after the evaluation. I do not want to be credited. I want a refund! In the mean time, I am out of pocket for a pair of boots that my son needs to play sport and to add insult I am having to wait for a long time to get a credit or refund!

I do not want to order another pair of boots online as I have already spent R900 and definitely do not want to spend a further R900 to get the same runaround! I would rather take my cash and buy boots at a shop. The whole idea of shopping online is the convenience, however, this has been far from convenient and I will be very reluctant to order from Takealot ever again.

To add to this. Their callcentre numbers are always busy or their operators are currently busy. A ********** is listed for customer service, but emails are returned where you are advised to go online to track orders. They want you to buy take their goods, but don't dare exchange or return anything, you get nowhere!!!
