POOR QUALITY JVC 32inch CURVED TV

I bought 32inches JVC curved TV in 2018,after 1 year 8 months it doesn't show images it has sound only. I see reviews on Takealot.com that most customers are experiencing the same problem with this TV just after the warranty period expires. I have a perception that JVC is making 1 year warranty for this TV deliberately they probably know that it's life span is 1 year. I approached Takealot.com and I was told that the warranty has expired, to me this is a quality issue it's not fair for the customer to spend +R2k for a product that will only last for less than 2 years. At least the manufacturer should have disclosed the shortfall of their product upfront. The unfortunate part is that there were very few reviews when I bought this TV and they were all positive I guess it's because they were still within 1 year warranty.
